Overview of Classes Offered
Toddler Time classes (0-2 years old)
Tuesday & Friday mornings
These classes are designed for toddlers who are accompanied by a Parent or Caregiver. Classes begin with a sing-along and circle-time in which the toddlers participate if they can be persuaded! Immediately following circle-time, toddlers are free to explore the gym accompanied at all times by their Caregiver. The attending coach will interact and offer gentle instruction which encourages the Toddler to explore all activities in their own time. Jumping, swinging, balancing, rolling, crawling and climbing are amongst their favourites. In our safe, soft environment, Toddlers will develop their gross-motor skills and build self-confidence whilst learning to interact with other children and adults.

Kinder Gym classes (3-4 years old)
Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays 2:00 – 3:00pm
Designed for young children who attend pre-school, our Kinder gym classes begin with a wonderful “musical warm-up” and stretch which is followed by professional instruction on all apparatus - bars, balance beam, vault, floor and trampoline! Working in small groups, on one apparatus at a time, our Kindergym students will have a great time developing their strength, balance and co-ordination whist developing basic gymnastic skills on each of the apparatus. These classes are a wonderfully relaxed but controlled environment which serves to develop each child's social skills and self confidence. A parent or care-giver must be in attendance at these classes, but is not required to accompany their child in the gym. Classes are fully staffed by registered and certified coaches.

Pre-Team (by invitation only)
Saturdays 11:30 - 1:00
Our Pre-Team class offers recreational gymnastics to young athletes who show strong natural ability and a competitive potential. These classes are focused and fun! These little athletes learn the fundamentals of the sport while building great strength and flexibility alongside other gymnasts who may well become their long-term training partners. These girls will also be invited to participate in the our annual Fun-Flip meet, after which they may become part of our Competitive Programme.
Pre-Competitive (by invitation only)
The idea of Pre-Competitive gymnastics was introduced in the latter half of the 1990s by Annette Telfer when she ran the gymnastic programme at St. Andrew’s School. This level was created for talented, young gymnasts who have a natural, competitive instinct, but who have not as yet attained the quality of gymnastics or skills required to compete using the USA Gymnastic (USAG) Junior Olympic programme. The unique TTGF Pre-Com level is now recognized regionally as it has been adopted by Jamaica as well as St. Vincent.
The Pre-Com level introduces the idea of very basic routines which focus on a few core elements on each apparatus. This programme allows the young gymnasts to develop a love for the sport and competition, while mastering the fundamentals and basic skills. These factors ensure that they are able to make a smooth, strong transition to the higher developmental USAG competition levels.

USAG Junior Olympic programme (by invitation only)
Levels 1 to 3
The focus of this programme is the development of the young, competitive gymnasts. Gymnastic skills, physical conditioning, performance skills, team bonding as well as psychological training are an integral part of these classes. The important developmental levels (1-3) introduce the parent and the athlete to competition and the goal is to help them enjoy every step of the process. It is most important for a young gymnast to develop a love for competition along with a high level of strength and flexibility. Good basic skills are of utmost importance as these serve for a solid foundation which will be used later in the gymnast's competitive career.
Levels 4 to 10
Following the rules of the USAG Junior Olympic Programme, Levels 4 & 5 must be competed, with the gymnast attaining a minimum score before progression to the next level is permitted. In the optional levels 6 - 10, each gymnast is allowed to compete specially choreographed, individual routines. Optional competition allows some flexibility for coaches and gymnasts to select which skills the gymnast competes on each event and allows them to choose their own floor music. Competing at the optional level is a major achievement for gymnasts who have devoted many years to the sport.
