Class Schedule

Toddler-time Classes: 0 – 2 years

Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:30 – 10:15am

Wednesdays &  Fridays 10:30 – 11:15am
These classes are designed for toddlers accompanied by Mummy, Daddy or Caregiver. The toddlers are free to explore the gym with guidance from an adult. They go over, under and through tunnels, incline mats, blocks and steps. They jump on the trampoline, swing on the bars and balance on the beams. The toddlers are amazing, and while having loads of fun they are developing co-ordination, strength and self-confidence. Little ones and parents will have a great time developing basic motor skills by participating in a variety of activities through games and basic gymnastics. You and your child will receive professional instruction on floor, balance beam, vault, bars, and trampoline.

Kinder Gym Classes: 3 to 4 years

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays 2:00 – 3:00pm
Our Kinder gym classes begin with a wonderful “musical warm-up” which is followed by professional instruction on the floor, various circuits, bars, balance beam, vault and trampoline! Little ones will have a great time developing basic motor skills by participating in a variety of activities through games and basic gymnastics. These classes also focus on social skills and self confidence. Gymnasts must be accompanied by a parent or care-giver.

Recreational Classes: 5-7 years and 8 + years

5 - 7 years: Mondays to Wednesdays 3:15 - 4:30pm

                    Thursdays 2:15 - 3:30pm

                    Saturdays 10:00 - 11:15am

8+ years:    Thursdays 3:45 - 5:00pm

                    Fridays 3:15 - 4:30pm

                    Saturdays 11:30am - 12:45pm

This Programme offers more than just a great time learning gymnastics. The curriculum is based on our Skill Achievement Programme. During the term we “test” the gymnasts on specific apparatus. The gymnast’s skills are recorded on their individual card, and ribbons are awarded for each level achieved. Not only do the classes focus on gymnastics and fun, but also strength and flexibility, balancing, co-ordination, social skills, and self-confidence.

Pre-Competitive & Level 1 Classes (By Invitation Only):

Pre-Com & Level 1 (1): Mondays & Wednesdays 4:30 – 6:00pm
Pre-Com & Level 1 (2): Tuesdays 4:30 - 6:00pm & Thursdays 5:00 - 6:30pm

The idea of Pre-Competitive gymnasts was introduced in the latter half of the 1990s by Annette Telfer when she ran the gymnastic programme at St. Andrew’s School. This level was created for those young gymnasts who had the natural, competitive instinct, but had not as yet attained the skills required to compete using the USA Gymnastic (USAG) Junior Olympic programme.

The Pre-Com level introduces the idea of very basic routines which focus on a few core elements on each apparatus. This programme allows the young gymnasts to develop a love for the sport and competition, while mastering the fundamentals and basic skills. These factors ensure that they are able to make a smooth, strong transition to the higher developmental USAG competition levels.

USAG Junior Olympic Programme (By invitation only):

Levels 1 to 4
The focus of this programme is the development of the young competitive gymnasts. Gymnastic skills, physical conditioning, performance skills, team bonding as well as psychological training are an integral part of these classes. The important developmental levels (1-4) introduce the parent and the athlete to competition and the goal is to help them enjoy every step of the process. It is most important for a young gymnast to develop a love for competition along with a high level of strength and flexibility. Good basic skills are of utmost importance as these serve for a solid foundation which will be used later in their career.

Levels 5 to 10
This is the progression from the developmental levels 1-4 to the higher levels 5 & 6 and then on to the “Optional” levels 7 to 10. At the optional level each gymnast will develop their individual routines. Optional competition allows coaches and gymnasts to select which specific skills they compete on each event and allows them to choose their own floor music. Theoretically, each gymnast is able to showcase their talent emphasizing their strength and minimising their weaknesses.

Accelerated Programme (By invitation only):

These classes have been introduced for gymnasts who will be doing both the USAG JO programme, alongside specific skill training with the ultimate goal of competing in international competitions (FIG).
